DARUDE’S ‘SANDSTORM’ GETS ITS FIRST OFFICIAL DRUM & BASS REMIX, COURTESY OF DIMENSION
Darude’s 1999 anthem ‘Sandstorm’ gets its first official taste of drum & bass at the hands of one of the scene’s heavyweight producers Dimension out now on Vibing Out.
Arriving as part of the teased arrival of Sandstorm-The Remixes, Dimension’s rework injects rapid breakbeats, heavy basslines and adrenaline-boosting drops, bringing one of dance music’s most recognisable melodies into his high-impact drum & bass world.
The remix has already picked up serious tastemaker support, with an on-air premiere on BBC Radio 1 and dancefloor plays at Tomorrowland, ULTRA Japan, and from fellow D&B heavyweight Wilkinson at Boomtown Fair.
‘Sandstorm’ has gone on to surpass one billion global streams and become a fixture far beyond the dancefloor, from major sporting events to gaming and internet culture. Dimension’s remix continues that legacy while introducing the instantly recognisable hook to a new generation of drum & bass fans.
London-born producer and DJ Dimension, has become one of the defining names in modern drum & bass, bringing the genre’s energy to some of the biggest stages in electronic music. An early signing to MTA Records, his rise has seen him perform at Glastonbury, Creamfields, EDC Las Vegas and beyond, while his debut album topped the UK Dance Albums Chart.
‘Sandstorm (Dimension Remix)’ is out now via Vibing Out.
